About Wellbeing - TLDR

  • Wellbeing integrates data from sources like meetings, chats, emails, and project management tools to create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on team sentiment.

  • These reports provide overall and individual team sentiment scores, highlight critical or recurring issues, and help HR prioritize them.

  • Using AI, Wellbeing summarizes each issue, provides source clips or chats, and suggests actionable solutions that HR can implement with a click. It also monitors the effectiveness of those solutions post-implementation.

Kick starting with research

I began by exploring the current tools that assist HR managers in understanding team sentiment and enhancing engagement through various activities. I found that most applications primarily focus on employee performance and productivity, offering mood tracking as a supplementary feature. They rely on active employee participation through various surveys. While these tools often generate reports, they typically lack actionable suggestions for addressing prevailing issues that contribute to negative sentiment. As a result, HR managers must devise activities independently and then seek tools to support those initiatives.

What will be tracked?

Data is tracked from meetings, chats, surveys, and project boards to provide insights into team dynamics. Key areas include missed or extended meetings, daily standups for identifying blockers, and group chat sentiment, with optional tracking of personal chats and non-team meetings, all reported anonymously. Surveys like pulse checks and satisfaction scores further inform team sentiment.

Privacy Considerations

Given the sensitive nature of the data being tracked, privacy considerations are critical. Here’s how confidentiality is ensured:

  1. Only HR managers have access to the organization’s overall sentiment report.

  2. Team managers can only view insights and issues related to their own team.

  3. Any information from personal chats and meetings is shown only if it has actionable insights. Even if it is used, the employee’s anonymity is maintained.

  4. Reports are generated on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to avoid focusing on daily fluctuations and protect employee well-being.
